(Warning for those with respiratory issues)....The Air Pollution Control District has issued an Air Quality Alert.

It was issued for Thursday and today Friday. The Alert is for elevated ozone pollution, or smog.. Friday morning the APCD recorded very high levels of PM 10, which is mostly dust in the air. The Air Quality in Brawley was listed as unhealthy for sensitive groups. During the alert, those with respiratory issues should reduce prolonged or heavy exertion. It is recommended the sensitive groups remain indoors as much as possible, with the air conditioning on until the particulate levels are lower. The alert is for all of Imperial Valley, but mostly in Brawley, Calexico and El Centro
