(Preliminary County Budget)....It was presented this week to the County Board of Supervisors.

The board accepted the document on a 4-0 vote. The spending plan is 9.7 percent higher than the current budget. It also has a General Fund reserve of $21 million. The Board will now hold Budget hearings to develop a official budget. The final budget adoption is planned for September 17. The final spending plan must be submitted to the State Controller by December 1st.
