U.S. Customs and Borer Protection (CBP) officers assigned to the San Diego Field office seized over $38 million worth of drugs in the month of May.
The seizures included nearly 22 pounds of heroin, over 900 pounds of cocaine, 560 pounds of fentanyl and nearly 16,500 pounds of methamphetamine. The drugs were found during 165 separate smuggling attempts The San Diego Filed Office includes both Calexico ports of entry, Tecate and Andrade ports. The suspects in the incidents were turned over to Homeland Security Investigations for further investigation.
