(54-Year-Old Ramona resident suffers fatal injuries).....The San Diego Medical Examiner's Office released the information.
The fatal injury victim was identified as Bert Gallegos. The incident occurred last week. Gallegos was riding his Harley Davidson north of Old Highway 80. A Toyota traveling in the opposite direction made a left turn onto the entrance driveway to the Acorn Casino. The vehicle turned into the path of the motorcycle, resulting in the collision. Gallegos was thrown onto the roadway. Paramedics arrived and were preparing the victim to be flown to a hospital for treatment. The California Highway Patrol says Gallegos died at the helicopter landing pad. The driver of the vehicle was identified only as a 78-year-old woman, resident of Imperial County.
