(Calexico City Council meets this evening).....It is the first meeting for the new members appointed to fill the recall vacancies.

The added item to the agenda is no real surprise. Under Closed Session they have requested a public employee performance evaluation for the City Manager of Calexico. It is no surprise because Esperanza Colio-Warren was discussed several times during the recall campaign. As a closed session item, no information on the discussion will be revealed, unless action is taken. In Open session, the Council will consider new water and sewer rates. They will discuss moving forward with the Heber Park Expansion Project. A new member will be appointed to the Calexico Housing Authority Board. They will consider additional funding for the New River Improvement Project and for the renovation of Calexico Fire Station #2. Open session begins at 6:30 this evening.
