The preliminary hearing was held late last week)....34 year old Dillon Daniel Hoover is accused of lighting an occupied trailer on fire in Slab City.

The occupant died as a result of the fire. The incident occurred in February. The preliminary hearing was held in El Centro. After hearing from the Deputy who discovered the fire and attempted to rescue the victim from the fire , among others, it was determined there was enough evidence for a trial. The suspect will be arraigned on charges of murder and one count of arson that resulted in death on June 12. The suspect will officially enter a plea at that time
