(The announcement was issued Tuesday)....Maria Nava Froelich is retiring June 14.

She said she will be retiring from the Calipatria Unified School District after 42 years of service. She will also be leaving her current position as a Director-Coordinator of the Calipatria-Niland Resource Center.. Her final day at both positions will be June 14. She said she makes the announcement to express her gratitude for all the participation and contributions on all the projects helping to accomplish the goals and objectives during her career. She will remain on the City Council, but will not seek re-election in November. She says she will spend more time with her family and possibly do some traveling.
