(A Ribbon Cutting was held last week)....It was for the South Extension of Imperial Avenue in El Centro.

The ceremony was for phases 1 and 2. The project is not done yet. There are still two phases to go. Phase 3 will begin in the Fall 2025. It will extend South Imperial Avenue to Manuel Ortiz Avenue at an approximate cost of nearly $2.2 million. Phase 4, tthe final phase will extend South Imperial Avenue to McCabe Road. Funding for the final phase has still not been approved. The date the final phase will begin has not been determined
