(One Memorial Day Ceremony was held Thursday)....It was hosted by the Southwest High School Cadets.

The ceremony was held in the School Gym The ceremony included a lot of information on the history of Memorial Day, as well as traditional symbolism for fallen veterans. One of the most sober events was the Final Roll Call Ceremony honoring local vets. Honored were two Vietnam Veterans, a Veteran of the Korean conflict and 10 others who lost their lives in more recent conflicts. Three of them had been students at Southwest High School. Their families occupied the front row as their names were called. This was the first Final Roll Call for the local Veterans killed in combat.
