(Calexico taking applications for temporary City Council Members)....The current City Council wants to temporarily fill two vacant City Council seats.

The vacancies were created recently when Raul Urena and Giliberto Manzanarez lost their seats to recall. Today is the deadline to submit an application. The appointees will serve out the terms left by Urena and Manzanarez. The council expects to announce the two appointments by the end of the month. Applications are available at the city website.
