(CHP graduates new officers)....The ceremony was held last Friday at the CHP Academy in Sacramento.
During the ceremony 106 new officers were sworn in. Among them, four were Imperial County natives. Of the 4, none will be assigned to the El Centro Sector. The new officers from the Valley are; Jose Barrientos a 2017 graduate of Calexico High School. He will be assigned to the Solano area office, Francisco Camarena a 2016 graduate of Southwest High School. He will be assigned to the South Los Angeles area office. Sergio Cerros a 2017 graduate of Calexico High School. He will be assigned to the Garberville, Laytonville Resident Post area office. And Luis Magana a 2017 graduate of Brawley Union High School. He will be assigned to the Redwood City area office. All the graduates completed 26 weeks of training at the CHP Academy.
