The Calipatria City Council will meet Tuesday.

The regular meeting will begin with closed session at 5:30 p.m. and adjourn to open session at 6:00 p.m. Among the items on the agenda are a Proclamation designating May as Poppy Month. The Council is also expected to swear in incoming Interim Police Chief Cheryl Fowler and hold a badge pinning ceremony. Fowler recently retired after 31 years with the Imperial County Sheriff's Office. County Supervisor Ryan Kelley will make a Lithium Valley presentation. The meeting will be held at the Calipatria City Council Chambers.
