(The second annual Clean California Community Days is underway)....As Part of that program, Cal Trans has been busy in Imperial County.

It started on April 5 when the City of El Centro was presented a $4.7 million grant to revitalize the Downtown Square Park. They recently provided dumpsters to collect non-hazardous unwanted household items And on Earth Day Cal Trans was at Rockwood Elementary School in Calexico. Students were educated on Clean California and the importance of litter-free communities Cal Trans mascot Safety Sam was onhand to help Cal Trans staff remind everyone about staying safe and how safety of motorists was the top priority of Cal Trans.
