(A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony was held recently)....It was for the new Geothermal exhibit at the Imperial Valley Desert museum.

The exhibit allows visitors to learn about Geothermal energy, how it is extracted and how it is being used. Plans are to extract Lithium from Geothermal brine. There is a 40 year history of Geothermal extraction in Imperial County. The Imperial Valley Desert Museum was chosen as the first location for this traveling exhibit. The next stop will be Hawaii. The exhibit at IV Desert Museum will be open Wednesdays through Sundays from 10 am to 4 pm.
