(Current and former Ball Players Indicted)....They were indicted for Insider Trading.

The Minor League former and current baseball players are Jordan Qsar, Grant Witherspoon and Austin Bernard. The U.S. Attorney's Office, Southern District of California announced the indictment. They say the three had received advance notice of the acquisition of Del Taco by Jack In The Box, Inc in December 2021, The 3 began purchasing Del Taco stocks. After Jack in the Box and Del Taco went public with the acquisition, the Del Taco stocks jumped in price from $7.53 to $12.51 per share. In the falloing days, the 3 began selling their shares, earning them of illegal profits of approximately $56,000, $41,800 and $64,000. When the indictment was unsealed it charged 28 year old Jordan Joseph Qsar, 27 year old Grant Lee Witherspoon and 28 year old Austin Lane Bernard with Insider Trading, If convicted of all the charges the 3 would be facing up to 45 years in prison and hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines.
