CBP officers seized nearly three-quarters of a million dollars' worth of meth. 

Thursday morning, a van with a shipment manifested as foam pedestals was stopped at the Otay Mesa Commercial Facility. The van was referred to secondary inspection where a non-intrusive scan showed irregularities. A K-9 team alerted to the presence of narcotics. CBP officers were able to discover 218 packages of methamphetamine with a total weight of over 450 pounds. The estimated street value is nearly 3/4 of a million dollars. The driver was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations. The seizure is part of Operation Apollo.
