Nearly two-tenths of an inch of rain fell on Imperial Valley Thursday.

The persistent showers caused some roadway flooding and a few scattered power outages but the Valley was spared extensive damage. The Imperial county Department of Public Works reported a number of roads remain closed due to flooding. Williams Road between Beal and English Road, Holt Avenue in Salton Sea Beach, Azure Road in Salton City, Wheeler Road between Huff and West road End, Honey Wagon Road Northeast of Bombay Beach, Window Road Northwest of Niland, Derrick Road between Diehl and Wixom Road and Kubler Road between Ferrell and Brockton Road. 

Thursdays storm moved east out of the Valley later in the evening. Sunny skies and breezy to windy conditions are expected through the weekend with another storm system moving into the area late Monday.
