(Two seizure in separate incidents).....The circumstances were identical.

Both seizures occurred on the same day this week. Both were reported at the San Ysidro Port of Entry. The first incident was at just after 5 am. A 42-year-old man drove a silver car through the Sentri lanes. The vehicle was stopped after the Customs and Border Protection Officer noticed black square shaped packages attached to the undercarriage of the vehicle. The car was sent to the secondary inspection area. Officers retrieved two packages containing methamphetamine. The packages weighed close to 8 pounds. The meth was valued at $11,565. A couple hours later a 51-year-old man drove a black SUV into the Sentri lane. The vehicle was referred to the secondary inspection area. CBP officers found a single square package attached to the undercarriage of the vehicle. The package contained over 2.5 pounds of fentanyl pills, valued at $29,000. Both drivers were arrested and turned over to Homeland Security Investigations. The CBP seized the vehicles and the narcotics.
