The Imperial County Board of Supervisors approved nearly $207,00 worth of grants last week.

The grants are the fourth round of the Community Benefit Grant Program. The funds targets initiatives in the community and economic development services, community services, and wildlife habitat conservation. The money comes to the county through solar energy development projects in Imperial County. 

The Sheriff's Office Aero Squadron will receive $10,000

Boys and Girls Club of Imperial Valley $25,000

The Sheriff's Office Blue Ribbon Program $25,000

Southwest High School FFA.    $25,000

Holtville Takedown Club.   $11,400

Imperial County Fire Department $50,000

Dee's Rescue.      $25,000

Imperial Valley Desert Museum.  $25,000

Imperial County Veteran's Services.   $10,5000
