A Hit & Run accident did extensive damage to a fence.
The accident was reported shortly after 10:00 a.m. Sunday when a resident in the 2000 block of Allen Drive noticed her fence had been damaged sometime during the night. Police were able to locate the front bumper and emblem from the pick-up truck that hit the fence. Officers, with the help of the Imperial County Sheriff's Office, were able to locate the truck at a residence in Heber. The truck owner admitted to El Centro police that he hit the fence and fled because he was scared. He denied being under the influence. Charges of Hit & Run Driving will be filed. Damage to the fence was estimated at approximately $4,000.
