City of Calexico has announced the appointment of five individuals to the city leadership team. Not all are new faces in the border city but they do have new assignments.

Francisco Barba has been appointed Development Services Director. Barbara is a Calexico native.

Guillermo Sillas has been appointed Public Works Director/City Engineer. Sillas is a licensed Civil Engineering has worked for the City of Brawley, CalTrans and the International sundry and Water Commission.

Veronica Luna-Alvarado is the newly appointed City Clerk Luna-Alvarado has worked in a number of departments at City Hall.

Edward Ainza is now the acting Fire Chief. Ainza has been with the City of Calexico since 2011. 

Armando Orozco is the Interim Chief of Police. Orozco has been a member of the Calexico Police Department since 2002.
