(Point In Time Count is coming in January).....Organizers are recruiting volunteers now.

This is to have an estimate of how many volunteers they will have to work with. It also gives organizers time to train the volunteers. The Point In Time Count is the annual count of the homeless in the area. The number of the homeless is critical to the amount of funds available to assist them. Volunteers must be 18 years or older and they are required to complete a training session. The training sessions will be held on December 7 at the Calexico City Hall, December 14 at Desert Trails RV Park, January 4 at the El Centro City Hall, January 11 at desert Trails RV Park and January 18 at the Brawley City Hall. The Imperial County Count will be from 5:30 am to 10 am on January 26, and at Slab City on January 27 from 9 am to 1 pm. For more information go to imperialvalleycontinuumofcare.org.
