Three Imperial Valley High Schools have advanced in CIF-San Diego Section playoffs.
The Calexico Bulldogs will take on the Bonita Vista Barons in Division I Flag Football play. The Calexico ladies advanced to the Tuesday semi-final game when they beat San Diegiuto Academy 27 -18 last Thursday. The number 4 seeded Bulldogs will play the number 1 seed Bonita Vista in Chula Vista on Tuesday. The winner will advance to the Championship game on Thursday.
The Vincent Memorial Catholic High Scots beat Hoover on Friday night 47 - 21. That advances the number 1 seed Scots to the Division V Championship game on Friday, November 17 at Escondido High School. The Scots will play number 2 seed Sweetwater Red Devils for the title.
In Division V-AA, the Holtville Vikings advance to the Championship game. The Vikings will meet the Army & Navy Academy Warriors on Saturday, November 18 at Escondido High School. Expect a high scoring contest as the Vikings advanced to the finals with a 49 - 0 win over Maranatha Christian and the Warriors whipped Tri-City Christian 50 - 0 last Friday night.
