Pioneers Memorial Healthcare District has a new Chief Executive Officer.

The Brawley Healthcare district has named Christopher R. Bjornberg as their new CEO. Bjornberg comes to the Imperial Valley from Fall River Mills, California. His expertise includes working with healthcare districts, surgical facilities, outpatient rehabilitation management and analytics. As Pioneers new CEO, Bjornberg will be leading the district through transition as provisions of the recently passed Assembly Bill 918 pushes the Valley to one, countywide healthcare district. Bjornberg is expected to focus on continuing progress made over the last year stabilizing finances, improving employee satisfaction and retention, process and procedure improvement, elevating quality and patient satisfaction.
