The El Centro Police Department and Imperial County Coroner's Office are investigating two separate deaths thought to be caused by drug overdoses.

Shortly before noon on Tuesday police were notified of an unresponsive man at an Adams Avenue motel. El Centro Fire paramedics, who arrived on the scene, determined the 30-year-old man was dead. Police responded to the scene along with the Coroner's Office.

Shortly before 7:00 p.m., El Centro Police and Fire responded to the 600 block of Euclid Avenue after they received reports of an unresponsive woman in a car. CPR was administered but the 35-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene. El Centro Police and the Imperial County Coroner's Office are investigating the apparent overdose death.
