(Calexico Recreation Department Event)....It is the creation of an Altar De Muertos.

Anyone over the age of 12 can participate in the preparation for the Calexico Recreation Altar de Muertos at the Carmen Durazo Cultural Arts Center. Register to participate with the Recreation Department. On Tuesday October 17th from 11 am to 6 pm pick-up a free skull. Take it home and use your creativity to decorate the skull. It mus be returned on October 24th. The Grand Opening of the Altar de Muertos will be on Thursday, November 2nd at 5:30 pm at the Cultural Arts Center on Heffernan Avenue in Calexico.
