(County Board of Supervisors to hold their regular weekly meeting)....Thge meeting will be held Tuesday in El Centro.

Public session will begin with a proclamation declaring October 8-14 as Fire Prevention Week. The Board is expected to present Certificates of Recognition to the Holtville Softball Team for their multiple championships. IVL Champions, CIF Division 2 Champions, and CIF SoCal Regional Division 4 Champions. The Supervisors will be introduced to Bruce Gibson, Supervisor District 2 from the County of San Luis Obispo. Te Board will select the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in the County of Imperial's 2023 Postcard Contest. A contract will be awarded for street improvements in Niland, from Highway 111 to Memphis Avenue. The Supervisors will discuss recommendations from the Elections Ad-Hoc Working Group concerning temporary campaign signs and candidate Declaration of Candidacy form. Sheriff Fred Miramontes will discuss an agreement for consultant services for government advocacy services. There will also be two public hearings at the Tuesday meeting.
