A five-car accident sent one person to the hospital and another to jail.

The accident occurred shortly before 7:00 p.m. Sundy at Danenberg and Dogwood Roads in El Centro.  Five vehicles were involved. One person was transported to El Centro Regional Medical Center for injuries sustained in the accident. A 68-year-old man driving one the vehicles admitted to investigating officers that he had been drinking at a near-by bar. After a blood test showed that his Blood Alcohol Content was over three-times the legal limit he was booked into Imperial County Jail on charges of Driving Under the Influence.
