El Centro Police arrested a man for driving very much under the influence. 

At about 3:00 p.m. Monday a caller reported a car at Scott Avenue and Frontage Road with a man inside, apparently overdosing. Before police arrived on the scene, the car took off westbound on Scott and then went northbound on Waterman, south on 19th before coming to a stop. At first the driver ignored police commands to get out of the car but did eventually exit the vehicle. The 27-year-old driver was than taken into custody on charges of Driving Under the Influence. Testing revealed he had a blood alcohol content of .30 percent, nearly four times the legal limit.
