Over two hundred pounds of methamphetamine was found hidden in a car.

U. S. Customs and Border Protection officers found the meth hidden under the floor and in the seats of a car that attempted entry into the United States Wednesday morning at the downtown Calexico Port of Entry. CBP officers had referred the car to secondary inspection where a full scan of the vehicle revealed irregularities in the floorboard and seats. A canine team alerted to the vehicle and officers were able to locate 41 packages, weighing more than 242 pounds, concealed in the car. The estimated street value of the drug is over $360,000. The 20-year-old man driving the car was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations for further processing.
