Imperial County Sheriffs deputies recovered a stolen tractor.

At about 5:21 p.m. Friday, deputies were notified of a man was driving a possible stolen tractor near Grumbles and Meloland Roads near Holtville. Deputies were able to locate the tractor and the man behind the wheel, Franklin Neidiffer. Neidiffer was driving a stolen New Holland tractor near a canal bank and then turned into an agricultural field. The suspect was already wanted for an incident that occurred the night before. Neidiffer attempted to flee on foot but was captured a short time later. Neidiffer was arrested and booked into Imperial County Jail on a variety of charges including Vehicle Theft and Resisting Arrest.
