(Calipatria City Council)....They held a special meeting Wednesday afternoon.

During the meeting the council ratified the contract offered Laura Gutierrez. Gutierrez agreed to the contract and became the Cities new City Manager/Finance Director. The City Council was also scheduled to ratify a contract for a new Public Works Director. There has been no official comment on that contract.
