A man was arrested after he apparently fell asleep at the wheel.
El Centro police located the man in a convenience store parking lot at about 1:45 p.m. Tuesday. The man was behind the wheel of a pickup truck with the engine running and the transmission in neutral. When officers woke up the sleepy driver they noticed signs of him being intoxicated. A Field Sobriety Test showed the man had a Blood Alcohol Content of more than three times the legal limit. The driver was booked at Imperial County Jail for Driving Under the Influence.
