($1.5 in fentanyl seized).....It happened near the Pine Valley Border Patrol Checkpoint.

Border Patrol agents stopped a vehicle traveling West on Interstate 8. Agents conducted a brief search of the SUV after a Border Patrol K-9 alerted to the vehicle. Underneath the vehicle agents found fentanyl concealed. They found more concealed in the roof of the vehicle. It total, it came to 112 pounds of fentanyl, with an estimated value of over $1.5 million. The driver and the vehicle were turned over to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. The narcotics were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
