Black ice, rain, snow and fallen rocks led to several Wednesday night accidents.

The California Highway Patrol responded to 4 accidents in a 30 minute span on Interstate 8 near In-ko-Pah Road. Traffic on both east and westbound lanes were affected by black ice conditions that resulted in two vehicle rollovers. One vehicle ended up about 70 feet down a ravine. U.S. Border Patrol agents were able to assist the victims of the accidents until Imperial County Fire and medical help arrived on the scene.
