(Almost $1 million in narcotics seized)....The record seizure occurred at the Andrade Port Sunday afternoon.

A 37 year old female US citizen was attempting to cross into the US from Mexico. The CBP officer sent the vehicle to the secondary inspection area. A non-intrusive inspection was conducted. The port's imaging system detected irregularities in the gas tank. A CBP K-9 Team screened the vehicle and alerted to narcotics. A further inspection resulted in the discovery of 76 packages in the gas tank. 46 packages contained Fentanyl pills weighing nearly 54 pounds with an estimated street value of $746,590. 30 packages contained methamphetamine weighing slightly more than 32 pounds with a street value of $211,990. The record seizure was valued at almost $1 million. The vehicle and narcotics were seized. The driver was arrested and turned over to US Immigration abd Customs Enforcement and Homeland Security Investigations for further processing
