(The Brawley City Council signed a letter this week)...The letter declares the drug Fentanyl a Countywide Public Health Crisis.

The letter will be presented to the County Board of Supervisors. The Brawley City Council will ask the County Supervisors for a similar declaration. The letter was authored by newly elected Brawley City Council member Gil Rebollar.. The letter contains data pertaining to the national impacts fentanyl has had on society. The letter contains data revealing the highest age-related overdose death rates in the county being in the Northend within the communities of Westmorland at #1, Niland at #2 and Brawley at #4. The letter also recommends several other actions that need to be taken.
