Skeletal remains were found Thursday in a burned out El Centro building.

El Centro police received the report of the human remains late Thursday afternoon. The remains were found in a burned building in the 300 block of Commercial Avenue. According to the El Centro Fire Department the building had burned in June of 2021. The Imperial County Coroner's Office is investigating and working to identify the remains.
