(Carrot Festival is underway)...It will continue through the weekend in Holtville.

The Carrot Festival Midway Carnival opens today at Holt and 6th Street. It will remain open until 11:00 pm. The Carrot Festival Cooking Contest, Featuring the Adult category is being held tonight at St.Paul's Lutheran Church. Friday the Carnival rides will be open from 3 to 11 pm. The Carrot Festival Kick-off Concert will be held at 7:00 pm Friday at the Corner of Holt and 5th Street, in front of Mechanics Bank. Pure Majik will perform the free concert. Beer and tacos will be sold at the event.. Saturday is a full day of events, including the Street and Crafts Fair. The annual Carrot Festival Parade kicks off at 10 am Saturday
