(Assemblyman Alvarez introduced AB 91)....The Bill introduces Bi-National Tuition exemption pilot program for local Community Colleges.

Alvarez represents the 80th Assembly District that covers southern San Diego County. His bill would allow low income students who reside within 45 miles from the California-Mexico Border, in Mexico to attend local community colleges and pay in-state tuition. AB 91 is supported by the San Diego and Imperial Valley Counties Community College Association, which includes Imperial Valley College.
