A big rig rolled over Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred at about 12:45 p.m. on northbound Highway 86 about 3 miles north of the Border Patrol checkpoint. According to reports, the big ran off the road and overturned before coming to rest on it's wheels in the center divider. According to the California Highway Patrol, the driver suffered major injuries. The highway remained open. The accident is under investigation.
