There is no new information about the officer involved shooting that occurred Christmas Eve.

El Centro Police responded to a commercial burglary alarm at a business in the 700 block of Industry Way at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday. Police officers encountered a man inside the business and the suspect was shot after threatening officers. The suspect, whose identity has not been released, remains hospitalized in critical condition. The Imperial County District Attorney's Office is investigating the incident. No other information has been released by police.
