The Imperial County Coroner's Office is investigating the death of a woman.

The 31-year-old woman was found dead at a transient camp in the area of Imperial and Adams Avenue in El Centro Monday afternoon. El Centro police responded to the scene and the coroner's office was notified when it was determined the woman was dead. The cause of death is under investigation.
