The U. S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) has issued a public health alert for Perdue's frozen chicken breast tenders.
According to FSIS, the chicken may be contaminated with small pieces of plastic and blue dye. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to the eating the product. The 42-ounce plastic bags of the chicken tenders have a Best if Used by date of 07/12/23 and a lot number of 2193 above the date.
