Four men face Federal charges after more than 5,000 pounds of methamphetamine was seized.
The arrests and seizure came last week after a 20-foot box truck crossed the international border at the Otay Mesa Commercial Port of Entry. San Diego County Sheriff's and other law enforcement agencies followed the truck to the area of Hoover and 30th Street in National City where agents saw four men moving dozens of cardboard boxes from the box truck into a Dodge van. Agents moved in and arrested the four men, all residents of Tijuana, Mexico. The methamphetamine, over 5,000 pounds, believed to be a record breaking haul of meth, was seized. The four men face charges of Conspiracy to Distribute Methamphetamine.
