U. S. Border Patrol agents found liquid methamphetamine hidden in the gas tank of a pick up truck.
Early Friday morning a pickup truck approached the Highway 86 checkpoint and was sent to secondary inspection where a K-9 detection team alerted to the truck. During an inspection agents noticed the gas cap looked very clean and there appeared to be tampered with. Using a portable video scope, agents noticed that liquid in the gas tank began to crystalize and turn white. The crystalized substance tested positive for methamphetamine. The 55-year old man driving the truck was arrested and turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
