(The County Supports the passage of SB 125)....The bill guarentees communities of Imperial County benefit from the development of Lithium.

The bill also ensures those profiting from the lithium development pay their equitable and fair share. The County says with the passage of the bill and through an inclusive process, residents of Imperial County will see long awaited and much needed improvements to local infrastructure, public safety, environmental mitigation and the colle quality of life. The bill now moves on to Governor Gavin Newsom's desk for his sgnature.
