In fact, health officials say the virus appears to be surging. The severity of the virus, however, appears to be much improved. They say that is the result of increasted vaccinations and boosters. At last report, active cases were at 627. Deaths resulting from the virus were steady at 941. The Center For Disease Control and Prevention says, of the active cases, 15 are hospitalized. They say 3.3% of the Intensive Care Unit beds are in use.
