A Wednesday morning threat that lead to a lockdown at El Centro Regional Medical Center was resolved.

According to the El Centro Police Department, detectives responded to the hospital shortly after 8:00 a.m. when they were notified that a man had made, what the hospital described as a credible threat to harm an ECRMC staff member. Detectives were provided a photograph of the individual and they were able to locate the man. Following the investigation it was determined that the individual suffers from a mental illness and the ECPD officers are working with Imperial County Behavioral Health Services to help the man. According to police the individual had made a vague threat and no weapons were mentioned.
