(County Sheriff's Office issues a Scam Alert)....Scammers are caling residents.

In the latest scam, residennts are being called by a person identifying themselves as Lieutenant Daniel with the County Sheriff's Office. The scammer claims the resident missed jury duty, abnd he tries to elicit the resident to pay a fine. One would be victim said he was told to $3,500. The Sheriff's Office says if you recieve this type of call, do not give out any information. Just hang up. They say you can verify any information by calling the Sheriff's Office at 442-265-2021.
